Copilot
An AI assistant built into a tool people already use, helping with the task in front of them while the person stays in charge.
How you’ll hear it
“Is this replacing the team?”
“No, it is a copilot. It drafts, they decide.”
Avoid
Measuring a copilot by licences bought rather than work changed.
The longer version
A copilot sits inside existing software such as email, documents or spreadsheets, and helps draft, summarise and suggest. Its value depends less on the tool than on whether teams change how they work, so adoption needs training and redesigned routines, not just a rollout.
