03 / Tools & Environment

Computer use

An agent operating a computer the way a person does: reading the screen, clicking and typing. Useful for old systems with no other way in.

How you’ll hear it

“The old system has no integration.”

“Computer use can operate the screens directly, slowly and carefully.”

Avoid

Letting a screen-operating agent loose on live systems without a sandbox.

The longer version

Computer use lets an agent work through ordinary screens when no proper connection exists. It is slower and less reliable than an integration, and it can reach anything the account can reach, so it needs tight permissions and supervision.
